In November 2026, I’ll be hosting a week-long cheese making and culinary retreat at the Dell of Abernethy, a secluded lodge set deep within the Cairngorms of northern Scotland.
Over the course of the week, guests will learn the art of cheese making, explore thoughtful, seasonal cooking, and share in the simple pleasure of preparing and eating food together. This immersive experience is designed for those who want to slow down, take a break from the pace of everyday life and ease into a slower, more considered way of living through food and place.
Days unfold gently - guided by hands-on making, long meals, and time spent outdoors in the surrounding forests and hills. Evenings draw in around the table, with good food, conversation, and a sense of ease that comes from being far from urgency.
Practical Details
Accommodation and hosting are provided by Kristen Allan and The Dell of Abernethy.
